A is for Adventure.

Today is the first day in the A-Z Challenge and of course it falls                                                       on...

But don't let that fool you, no pun intended, this is a real challenge. Post every day in April, except Sundays, making your topic start with the alphabet letter that day falls on. So we all know the first starts with A so my first post is...
A is for Adventure

This word sums up my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am a very proud Mother of five amazing children, and I have been blessed with four beautiful Grandchildren. My kids are grown and three serve our great Military so I don't get a lot of time with them, but when we get together it is a time of very little sleep, and non stop fun.  I also have a very busy day job as an Ultrasound Tech for a Cardiology Group. After my day job, evening chores, then dinner you would think my day would be over, but it's just beginning. Once everything is done I settle in front of my computer and begin working on my second love, my writing.
I started writing after a dream, and it's been an amazing dream ever since.

My first year of writing I received a contract for my first Short Story, Saving Angel.
My second year of writing I got two contracts. My first full length story,
Rescued from the Dark.

And another Short Story, the Christmas Contract.
I am in my third year of writing and have a goal of getting three stories out this year. Do you see a pattern? I just received a contract for my Young Adult, If I Knew Then and plan to try my  hand at self publishing two short stories in June.
                                   Sealed with a Dream,
                     Leather Chaps and Forgotten Promises.

So that's the Adventure in my life.
Stop by tomorrow to find out what I decide B should be for.
Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you again soon.

Writing is my passion, Reading is my Love.

Tempestas Viator
“And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” Genesis 5:29

Enoch, The great Enoch, born into a world as a stranger, taken out of time to the Caelestis Concilium where he learned all the secrets of creation: the parallel dimensions, parallel worlds, and multitude of universes which make up the multiverse along with all of the races and beings that exist within them. An immortal existence surrounded by the Angelus and a millennia of knowledge, all that ever was and all that ever could be, distanced him from the humanity he was born with and he traveled through creation without purpose or empathy. Ultimately, his loss of humanity and inability to empathize caused a disastrous string of events in various universes and forced the Angelus to put him on trial for his involvement and imprison him.

Tempestas Viator is the story of Enoch the Traveler, and of how he finds Violette, who changes the Caelestis Concilium’s ruling and leads him on a journey through the worlds and dimensions of the Multiverse to rediscover that which he has lost.

Lady S is a genuine and bonifide Southern Lady. She is an author who also excels in video editing, audio production, public speaking, and hosting terrific themed convention dances. She adores guesting at and participating in SciFi conventions and she will be the first to tell you that above everything else she is a Geek and a Fan and all Geekie Fans need to have fun!
The international release of her new Science Fiction series, Enoch the Traveler, was celebrated in 3 countries with a live streamed international release party on January 11th and followed up with a smashingly successful Barnes & Noble’s signing event the following weekend. The audio dramatization of Tempestas Viator, the first book in the series, is set to premiere February 22nd and includes an international cast along with well-loved BBC Doctor Who/Torchwood actor Gareth David Lloyd as the narrator.
The excitement surrounding Lady Soliloque’s new series is palpable as it comes with a full line of exclusive costuming and merchandise from AbbyShot Clothiers, gadgets and reproductions from Warfire Forge, a full original composed score and theme, a licensed RPG to be released this summer, and a full promotional tour.
As an author Lady Soliloque has years of published credentials including short stories and the popular original novels, The Oubliette 1 & 2 and Immortalis Venatio, but her fan base exploded when she wrote the four book Doctor Who novel set, Tempus Temporis. The Doctor Who novels were so successful that she turned them into an audio drama in the style of Big Finish, complete with a worldwide cast and full 3D sound effects. Two seasons, 13 episodes, behind the scenes tidbits, and over a million downloads later, Tempus Temporis was nominated and received several awards, most recently an honorable mention from the Geekie Awards.
In her spare time, Lady S creates and edits Fan Videos which she posts on her YouTube channel and shares with several fan pages and websites. Her award winning videos have also increased her fan base immensely, clocking over a million channel views.
Lady Soliloque is currently scheduling the Enoch promotional tour along with Gareth David Lloyd, who is co-guesting with her, and her amazing team of cast and crew.

Venturing Down a Path I've never taken.

I have been very busy this month. I added another Granddaughter, Realynn Michelle, and was offered a contract for my Young Adult, If I Knew Then. Both are wins in my book. Every writer knows that life can truly get in the way of our time to write, and mine truly did, but I decided to cut back on some things so I could get a few stories written, so I gave up a few hours of sleep each night and it paid off.  I published my first story, Saving Angel in October 2012, then Rescued From the Dark, February 2013.  A short story, The Christmas Contract, in December 2013 and now my new contract from Black Opal Books for my Young Adult. Now I’m sure your asking yourself, what does all this have to do with taking a new path.
As you can see by my book titles I've written different genres. My first story, Saving Angel, is an animal rescue, Mystery, Suspense. Rescued from the Dark is a Romantic Suspense. The Christmas Contract, is a contemporary and, If I Knew Then, is a Young Adult. My favorite genre to write is Romantic Suspense, but I love to try new things, some I’m good at, others not so good.
For example, I have a paranormal story, but my mind just can’t seem to wrap itself around the world of a shapeshifter. I also have a fantasy about a royal family battling the evils in different realms. That also has issues with believability. I suck at coming up with names for different worlds. But that’s not the road I was talking about.
I’ve always wanted to write an erotic story, but every time I tried my Catholic School days would come back to haunt me. I had little Nuns on my shoulder slapping the back of my head chanting, get those evil thoughts out of your mind. I know, sounds like I need a support group.
But I persevered and wrote a short erotic story filled with smoking hot cowboys. Now I still had the Nun issues, that’s why I wrote a short story, I only needed to have a few sex scenes. And It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. The story is called, Leather Chaps and Forgotten Promises.
Now for another virgin path I’m going to go down. This story will be my first self published book. I feel that if we want to succeed, we must not be afraid to try new things, even if we’re not that good at them.
So wish me luck as I try my hand at new things, and don’t be afraid to venture down those uncharted paths in your life. You just might find out what you use to fear, is now your new love.

Leather Chaps and Forgotten Promises, Erotic
Jack Logan grew up with Lace. She was his best friend and always there for him. The shoulder to lean on when he needed advice and the body he craved to heat up his nights. His life was perfect until Amy returned to town. The one girl who stole his heart, then walked away. When Amy makes her intentions clear to start back up where they left off does Jack go after the one love that got away, or lose the one true person in his life who has always  been there.

If I Knew Then, Young Adult
Angel fought to keep her family safe from the evil that threatened to destroy her. She made sure she was always the one in front of her sisters when her Mother yielded her wrath. Keeping the danger that surrounded them a secret, she lived a lie that everyone believed, except for one. He was her only source of happiness until one day he was gone. With nothing left, and no one to turn to, she must outrun her past, and overcome the secret that she fights to hide, before her Mother destroys everything she has left to hold on to.

Rescued From the Dark, Romantic Suspense
She has no memory of their love...
Kidnapped by terrorists and sent into a drug-induced coma, FBI intern Mercedes Kingsley awakes with no memory of her ordeal—or the intimate interlude that left her pregnant. Convinced her child was fathered by her ex-fiancĂ©, she walks away from the only man she has ever loved, determined to make things work with her ex, a man the FBI suspects is implicated in her abduction.
He knows the truth, but no one will listen...

FBI undercover agent Jason Michaels remembers what Mercy can’t, and those memories are breaking his heart. Forced to keep his distance from his lover and their unborn child, Jason risks his life to protect Mercy from a cell of international terrorists who have vowed to get the secrets locked in her memory, no matter the cost. Can Jason convince Mercy to trust him until she remembers their past, or will he lose her to a man who will trap her in a nightmare world of darkness from which there is no escape?

I'm going to leave you with a little inspiration.  I hope you enjoy my eye candy.  : )

March is rolling in like a Lion thanks to old Man Winter.

Can you feel that chill? I can
Old Man Winter has overstayed his welcome but he didn't put a damper on my big Birthday Celebration.

It was hard to pick just a few winners with everyone who stopped by all the wonderful blogs that helped me pull off an amazing Birthday Party. But I did and here they are:

The Winner of the Big Sweetheart Basket is Mary Zenger and The Winner of the Autographed Book is  J C Mealet.

I want to Thank Everyone for this amazing year that I had. My first book will always be a special memory, but it won't be my last. I have many more stories to be told, and many more parties to throw.

I love my loyal fans and readers so I will end this post with a little hint to what will come in the very near future.

My Young Adult, If I Knew Then:
Angel O'Hare suffers years of abuse at the hand of her alcoholic mother so she lives a lie, leaving her emotionally closed off to keep her sisters safe, until Jax enters her life. His love breaks down her barriers and shows her that her dreams can come true until her mother's deception causes her to lose everything, except a secret she fights to hide. Determined to live a life without pain she makes plans to leave when Jax returns with apologies that she has heard many times before. Can she forget the pain and follow her heart, or will her mother discover her plans and pull her back into a life of emotional darkness.

My Romantic Suspense, Last Chance to Run:
What if you found out the daughter you buried was alive and being held captive by a man you thought you killed?

With no evidence to fall back on, and his agency refusing help, FBI Agent Ron Daily is forced to form an alliance with Patty McCarthy. A stubborn redhead who tests his patience, and invades his restless nights. Can they put their differences aside to find the kidnappers, or will Ron's past resurfaces, destroying Patty's trust, and causing him to lose his daughter for good.
