My memories of Easter past, the Easter Bonnet.

My Grandmother would dress us up and put on our matching hats to wear to Mass. Those hats stayed in our laps, on the floor or in our mouthes more than on our heads. I loved how prety they were, but hated to wear them. I was such a tom boy. Now it is one of my happiest memories about my Grandmother.

 Going to Mass with the family. My Grandmother was from Ireland and going to Church was something that we looked forward too because our Church service was a folk Mass of Irish hymns and I got to listen to my Grandmother sing.

Last but of course the best memory, was the Easter Egg hunt. I would sneak outside before my sisters and brothers and scope out where the big ones were hidden so I could get the best prizes. My parents finally got wise to me and made me stay close to them until everyone was ready. They knew I could be a little sneaky. :}

I love the water so I couldn't help but put a picture of Easter Island here. :}

What is your favorite memory?

Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win the gift card and also visit all the other sites. Your Easter Basket will be full of amazing gifts if you do.

Good Luck and Thank you for stopping by.

  1. My favourite memory? Definitely going holiday recently to Myanmar with my family as we get to spend time with each other and make current memories... We had a great lasting memory to make it my current favourite memory. It was also great cause my mom was recovered from her stroke to go for holiday.

    thanks for the wonderful giveaway & happy easter day!

  11. Every year for Easter my sister and I would get a new pair of black patent leather shoes. Then we would dress up and go to church with my grandma. I loved that so much that when I grew up I started buying my daughter and I a new pair every year. At least I know who to blame for my shoe addiction!

We would go to church on Easter Sunday and after I would find my baskets and candy. then we would have a wonderful dinner my mother would make. 22. At age 5,for Easter,I remember having to wear a matching dress and coat,mary janes with white ankle socks.A small white purse with a small bottle of ,Evening in Paris,perfume.Then white gloves and an Easter hat with an elastic band that kept biting into my skin.But I liked my rolls of laced on my undies,it felt like I was sitting on a pillow.Later I was showing ,some of the men,my laced panties. My mom wasn't too happy about it. She said" Young ladies do not show off their undies." Especlally not on Easter mass Sunday. DebP r.d1@myfairpoint.net

  42. Easter always equaled a challenging Easter egg hunt in the morning with increasingly sophisticated clues. Followed by a Church service with delicious hot cross buns, and then when we arrived back home, we'd receive our last clue which would always be a book. How awesome are my parents! Every Easter, since I can remember was truly special; a tradition I now carry on with my boy :-)
