What is a Hero? According to Wikipedia it is: Remarkably brave person: somebody who commits an act of remarkable bravery or who has shown an admirable quality such as great courage or strength of character Somebody admired: somebody who is admired for outstanding qualities or achievements The main character in fictional plot: the principal male character in a movie, novel, or play, especially one who plays a vital role in plot development or around whom the plot is structured I'm partial to number three. But what it shows is a hero can be anyone. Mine is our Military. They sacrifice themselves for our freedom. They give up their family time to protect us. I know, I have three children that serve in the Military today. I write Romantic Suspense. My stories are filled with brave FBI Agents, Navy Seals and Special forces.  My first story is filled with Military men that make the ultimate sacrfice for their country and the ones they love. I got asked this question today, well actually why do you kill yourself everyday writing? You don't have a book out yet. What people don't know is writing the book was the easy part. So I asked myself as I did another load of laundry, loaded the dishwasher and tried to figure out what I could have for dinner that wouldn't take too long. Why do I write? Well there's only one real answer... BECAUSE I LOVE IT.     I love all the endless hours in workshops learning my craft. I love all the hours struggling over a scene. I love all the hours I spend writing my second book while waiting for my first one to come out. This one is so simple for me...I love to talk, to tell stories and share funny moments from my day. I don't blog as much as I should, It's on my list of things to do, I just don't get that far down the list each day. If I just didn't have a day job.... :} Something to work on in the future, make writing my day job.
